Michelle Laura-Miller
Michelle Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Grand Valley State University in 1994 and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Baker College in 1995. She began her career in an orthopedic outpatient clinic with an established lymphedema program, where she discovered her passion for working with individuals living with lymphedema and breast cancer-related conditions.
In 1997, Michelle moved to Troy, Michigan, and joined Beaumont Hospital, where she played a key role in developing and expanding their lymphedema program over the course of 23 years, treating a wide range of diagnoses. She later developed a home care lymphedema program, bringing vital services to an underserved population. Currently, she works at Neil King Physical Therapy, where she has successfully launched and grown a thriving Lymphedema and Oncology practice.
In addition to her clinical work, Michelle has served as an instructor and Academic Advisory Board member for the Baker College PTA program. She has also contributed to the development and expansion of lymphedema programs within the home health care setting.
Michelle became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through Klose Training in 2012 and earned her certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) in 2015. She joined Klose Training as an Instructor in 2013.
When she’s not working, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, being out in nature, and traveling.
