The Földi Clinic—European Center of Lymphology in Hinterzarten, Germany—has adopted the term “lipalgia syndrome” in place of “lipedema.” This long-overdue change recognizes that “lipedema” is misleading and does not accurately reflect the condition and symptoms experienced by those affected.
Klose Training supports this important terminology change and will begin using “lipalgia syndrome” throughout its curricula. We invite you to read the statement below and join us in promoting terminology that is more accurate, clinically meaningful, and respectful of the patient experience.
