“Mike” has numerous publications, book chapters, and presentations to his credit in both basic and clinical lymphology. Mike also has multiple research grants studying the lymphatic system and lymphedema, and has extensive involvement in the training of medical and earlier-pipeline student researchers. He has received multiple National and International awards, honors, and memberships. In addition, Mike is the Executive Editor of the journal Lymphology and maintains the Consensus Document on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Peripheral Lymphedema for the International Society of Lymphology.
Mike’s current work encompasses research in both basic and clinical lymphology, focusing on a variety of animal lymphedema models, transgenic mice, lymphatic and blood vascular growth factors, in vitro cultures, and imaging techniques of the lymphatic system. He is also active in the instruction of students of all levels of medical ignorance.
