Dr. Dionne was a co-founder and administrator of Cœur Action, a cardiac rehabilitation center, and Médiforme, a physical conditioning center for people with health problems. She is presently working at the UQAM Sports Center as coordinator for the health promotion program and for the Aquatic University training center.
Dr. Dionne was the instigator of the aquatic bike in Canada. She developed a training modality called Gym Liquide, making exercise accessible to people of all ages, swimmers or non-swimmers, that is indicated following an injury, a surgery, a chronic disease or simply for those who are looking for an innovative way to train. The Gym Liquide is a training room in the WATER with bikes, treadmills, steps, standing-up paddleboard, trampolines, aquatic cage, aqua-poles, camera underwater, as well as lights for neuro-muscle training. The exercises are suggested according to the level of fitness and medical condition of each participant.
Dr. Dionne is a Klose-Certified Lymphedema Therapist and is currently doing research to develop a water program for lymphedema patients.
